Answer to Question 1
When we accept responsibility for the care and education of a child, we implicitly promise to follow our profession's ethics and look beyond that child's runny nose, messy hair, ability difference, or country of origin to see a precious creation full of hope and wonder. We must approach all children with open hearts and give unconditional acceptance to all families and children regardless of creed or color.
