Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
School is a childrens garden, a pleasant, enjoyable place.
Play is the primary way to learn.
Materials used were blocks, specially made manipulatives called gifts, and pets, as well as fingerplays, songs, and games.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER:
Quality care usually means higher wages, more personnel, and more trained personnel. Poor-quality child care threatens childrens emotional and intellectual development, and often basic safety and health measures are lacking. Quality is affected by group size, low teacher/child ratios, trained and experienced staff, adequate compensation, and safe and stimulating environments.
