Question 1
This is a male patient with adenocarcinoma of the prostate. He was taken to the cysto suite for transperineal implant of I-125 seeds into the prostate. Under fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance, 19 needles were inserted into the prostate based on a premeasured template. Approximately 70 seeds were placed. Postimplantation radiation instructions were given. He tolerated the procedure well.

The patient is an 82-year-old male with chronic left gonadal pain due to chronic granulomatous epididymitis. Conservative measures have failed and he continues having marked discomfort in the left groin. As a result, an orchiectomy was recommended. The patient underwent a left inguinal orchiectomy, which he tolerated well. EBL was minimal. The patient was allowed to go home once he was awake and alert. He will follow up in the clinic in three days.
