Ventricular contraction normally begins at the apex (bottom of the heart). What would likely happen if ventricular contraction originated at the intersection of the atria and the ventricles instead?
◦ Blood would be pumped through the semilunar valves.
◦ Blood would be pumped down to the apex of the heart.
◦ Blood would be pumped back into the atria.
◦ Blood would be pumped into the pulmonary artery and aorta.
