Answer to Question 2

 Possible Response Points:
Some people may simply have tendencies toward jealousy, but jealousy is generally founded on good reasons. Research shows that nearly 90 of husbands and wives who felt jealous were accurate; i.e., indiscretions were occurring.
The type of interloper also influences one's experience of jealousy. The more similar the interloper is to the jealous person, the more threatened and jealous they will feel (particularly if the interloper is better than the threatened person on relevant dimensions).
The number of people who are aware of the extradyadic relationship may be the biggest situational influence on jealousy. The more people who know, the more jealous the person will feel.
