The reason comic strips (suggested by LaRossa) do not portray minority families:
 
  A is that minority families are the same as white families.
  B minority family units are mainly single parent units
  C there are few minority comic strip artists.
  D publishers will not publish those strips.

Question 2

Are baseball wives really all that different from other occupational groups that require high
  mobility and visibility? How are baseball widows unique? Do other occupational group
  families adapt any differently?
