Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Advocates of covenant marriage tend to believe that the liberalization of divorce laws and creation
of no-fault divorce has made it too easy for couples to separate, and thereby has lead to decay in
fundamental family values. Critics maintain that divorce is almost always a wrenching and painful
process even when it by agreement and making it more difficult to divorce only increases the
burden upon wives in abusive marriages. Is no-fault divorce the cause of change in roles and the
nature of commitment in the nuclear family, or the result of change in society?
