Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

Answer:
Catharsis is the idea that being able to express or vent one's aggressive impulses will decrease their tendency to engage in aggression. Research has demonstrated that venting can actually increase subsequent aggression. Listening to violent lyrics actually increased the rate at which people would be able to pronounce aggressive words compared to nonaggressive words. Anger may actually increase during catharsis as we think about what others have done to us. Second, watching aggressive media or thinking about revenge may activate even more aggressive thoughts and feelings. This may then lead us to interpret ambiguous incidents as more hostile than we would if we had not been exposed to or thinking about aggressive things. There is little evidence that catharsis is functional. Only one outcome may be in line with the idea that catharsis is functional. There may be a momentary relief of tension if we let some aggression out, but over the long term there is no reduction in our aggressive impulses for having done so.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
