Answer to Question 1

Answer:
We may well see events in our life in terms of fate or actions we freely chose. It turns out that we may see both factors shaping the past. That is, whether we see fate or personal action as responsible depends on our level of construal. This means whether are think about such events in abstract terms or concrete terms. By abstract construal is meant thinking about the reasons you sought a particular goal, and perhaps the larger principles that were involved. Concrete construal means thinking about the specific plan of action, how you went about achieving a particular goal or executing an action.
