Consider the saying, Money can't buy you happiness. Based on information from your text on happiness, is this statement true?
 
  a. Yes: poor people are just as happy as wealthy people.
  b. Yes: poor people are actually happier than wealthy people.
  c. Sort of: once people can afford the basic necessities in life, they are as happy as wealthy people.
  d. No: the wealthy are happier than those making less money.

Question 2

Recently, a new psychological intervention has been publicized in the media and hailed as a surefire way to eliminate bullying in schools. The local school board has asked you to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention.

Answer: In order to evaluate how effective the evaluation is, I would design an experiment in which one group of schools was randomly assigned to receive the intervention, and one group of schools was randomly assigned to receive no intervention. After the intervention, I would then compare the schools that received the intervention with those that received no intervention and assess if the intervention did indeed work.
