When Japanese Americans were held in American internment camps during World War II,
 
  a. men were required to work for low pay; women were not allowed to work although women could volunteer to work without pay.
  b. every able-bodied person in the camps was required to work. The pay was the same for all, young and old, women and men.
  c. each person was given a choice whether or not to work although the pay was low.
