The irony is, of course, that via the self-fulfilling prophecy, we might actually create those characteristics in attractive others. More specifically, when we treat attractive people in line with our stereotypestreat them as warmer, smarter, more intelligent, more poised, and so onour behaviors might actually cause them to behave in ways that we initially expected them to behave.
