Recently, a state department of education decided to lower the grade needed to pass the writing portion of a standardized test.
 
  Assuming that Rosenthal and Jacobson's research remains true in today's classrooms, what is most likely to happen to students' writing ability as a result?
   a. Their writing will get much better with less pressure to make a high grade.
   b. Their writing will get worse because they are not being held to a higher standard.
   c. Their writing will remain the same.
   d. Their scores in other subjects will get better since they don't have to worry so much about writing.
