Answer to Question 1

In boys, there is a more rapid arousal of emotions. Emotions quickly shift to
extremes, too. Boys experience an increase in sexual thoughts and in masturbation.
Girls experience more moderate mood changes as a result of the ebb and flow of
hormones during the menstrual cycle.
