Answer to Question 1

Answers should point out that the effects of ADHD can be abated through
medication (drug therapy), psychological therapy, and restructuring the home and
school environment. Further, students should discuss the possibilities of
mainstreaming, integration, inclusion, and resource rooms. Students should
specifically describe each of these treatments/responses.

Answer to Question 2

In infancy, the child may appear to be normal, even unusually well behaved. Severe
deficiencies in communication ability, social skills, and imaginative play emerge in
early childhood. As the child gets older, the lack of social understanding becomes
the worst problem and will probably be a lifelong experience. The symptoms also
become more varied.
