Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

The visual cliff is an apparatus that appears to include an edge that drop offs. Young infants placed on the apparent drop off indicate interest in what they are viewing with a decrease in their heart rates. Older infants, with experience in crawling, refuse to crawl over to the apparent drop off and show an increased heart rate, indicating a fear response to the drop off.
