Answer to Question 1

Later-born children may sometimes act more aggressively in order to compete for the attention of their parents. Later-borns also have to reconcile the fact that they did not come first. Due to this, the self-concepts of later-born children tend to be somewhat lower than those of first-born children. However, the social skills they acquire from dealing with their family position translate into personality characteristics such as being more rebellious, liberal, and agreeable, all of which make them popular with their peers.

Answer to Question 2

D
