Answer to Question 1

Object solidity is the understanding that one object cannot pass through the space occupied by another object. Object continuity is the understanding that objects move continuously through space and time. It appears that young infants are capable of grasping both of these concepts.

Answer to Question 2

Core knowledge theory argues for innate abilities in infants regarding knowledge of certain concepts, particularly properties of objects, number, and space. This theory aligns well with the developmental theme of nature..
