Children who are gender schematic possess a strong gender schema, exhibit more consistent sex typing in their behavior, and process information along gender lines. Children who are gender aschematic possess a weaker gender schema, are less sex typed behaviorally, and focus their attention on aspects of information that are not related to gender.
