What is the formula for the initial velocity in the y or x when the projectile is launched from a certain height and lands on the ground? The known values are the angle, height, range...

R = Vi^2 (sin 2theta) /g      rearrange for vi

Vi = sqrt Rg / (sin 2 theta)
