B
Answer to Question 2
Maturation is determined by genes, in the sense that all normal humans have a species heredity that designs and sets limits on how they will develop. Characteristics of the individual also depend upon genetic information specifically inherited from parents and ancestors. Learning also determines development but is more clearly psychological in the sense of permanent changes in feelings, thoughts, and patterns of behavior that result in a highly complex fashion from an individual's experiences. Many developmental changes are the result of the interaction between maturation and learning.
