Answer to Question 1

The two kinetic cues are visual expansion (based on the perception that the closer an object, the greater the proportion of the retina it fills) and motion parallax (based on the perception that nearby objects move across our visual field faster than distant objects). The two pictorial cues are linear perspective (based on the perception that parallel lines come to a point in the distance) and texture gradient (based on the perception that distant objects are coarser than closer objects).
