Aerobic exercise is requires the maintenance of a pulse rate between 60 and 90 percent of a person's maximum heart rate. The maximum heart rate is calculated by subtracting one's age from 220 . Physical benefits of aerobic exercise include improving blood pressure, strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination. Psychological benefits of aerobic exercise include lower levels of stress, better mood, and better cognitive functioning.
