Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

Nutrition and health play a role in the onset of puberty. Puberty occurs earlier in girls who heavier and taller but later in girls with chronic illnesses or inadequate nutrition. Menarche occurs at younger ages in girls who experience chronic stress or who are depressed. Paternal investment theory states that fathers who are invested in child rearing may delay the timing of puberty. Conversely, girls experience menarche earlier when their father is absent.
