Answer to Question 1

The student should assert that the gayby boom is the attempt of gay and lesbian couples to become parents. These couples can become parents by adoption or by biological means. Biological means include using a surrogate mother, or lesbians using sperm donors. The American Academy of Pediatrics endorsed the adoption of children by gay parents, arguing that it provided security to children to have legally defined parents.

The functions of non-verbal communication include 1. it complements our words, 2. it can contradict our words, 3. it can accent our words, 4. it can repeat our words, 5. it can substitute for our words, and 6. it can regulate communication.
