Answer to Question 1

This is an alternative to some of the more common custody arrangements just discussed. The bird's nest custody arrangement is joint legal and physical custody with a bit of a twist: Rather than have the children move between two different homes, the parents take turns going back and forth to their separate homes. This way, the children are able to remain in the family home.
