Answer to Question 1

The student should indicate that mutaa marriages are secret pleasure marriages Shiite Muslim women are allowed to have in addition to their arranged utilitarian marriages. Mutaa marriages may be days or years in duration.

Answer to Question 2

The student should indicate that researchers have found the following steps as most effective in resolving conflict in relationships. The steps are 1. attack the problem not the person, 2. stick to the subject and use I statements to avoid attacking your partner, 3. be sensitive to time and place of your argument, 4. state what you want, and 5. listen and provide appropriate feedback. The student's answer should also include examples of each rule.
