In deciding divorce settlements, judges often distribute the marital property and assets so that neither spouse suffers a dramatic decline in the lifestyle to which he or she had become accustomed. Nevertheless, most divorced couples' lifestyles do change for the worse, and in many cases, this decline is worse for women.

The student should assert that adultolescents are usually college graduates that move back home to live with their parents. The reasons are mostly economic: tight job market, high cost of housing, planning to pursue a graduate degree. Most of these young adults see living with their parents as temporary.
