In the case of a court-ordered separation, the
 
  (a) couple is allowed time to work on problem areas in their marriage.
  (b) couple is required to complete all divorce proceedings by the end of the separation period.
   (c) individual parties are free to remarry.
   (d) couple must stay apart for at least one year.
