Answer to Question 1

(c)

Answer to Question 2

The student should assert that some children of divorce are relieved to be removed from the scene of parental conflict. Much of the time, however, the short-term effects are negative and include negative feelings about an unwanted split; emotions including guilt, anger, depression, anxiety, and withdrawal; possibly higher suicide rates, less social and school competence; and health problems. Each of these should be discussed in detail.
