Answer to Question 1

Dual system model: the executive control network, which controls impulses and reflects on the consequences of ones actions, does not develop until a few years after the reward network, which leads teens to seek novelty, reward, and intense stimulation.
As a result, some people in early and middle adolescence are prone to engaging in risky behavior that involves seeking out novelty and sensation.
