Answer: Children who later become anorexic or bulimic were dissatisfied with their bodies (wanting to be thinner than they were), perceived pressure to be thin from peers, parents or the media, engaged in dieting behaviors, showed deficits in inhibitory control and in some cases had depressive symptoms.
