Question 2

Joe, the lead technician, is very dissatisfied. He storms in to see Ralph, the owner. I am underpaid and under appreciated. I am the only productive employee around here and yet you say that you cannot afford to pay me more. Why don't you just get rid of some of the other nonproductive people and just pay me what they earn? A likely response from Ralph should be:

  A) Joe, I need those other people to help do all of the other work that needs to be done besides simply fixing cars.
  B) Joe, you can make yourself a raise faster than I can by simply producing a few more flat-rate hours each day and that will make us both happy.
  C) Joe, I agree that you are the only one producing labor sales, but without the others there would be very few cars here for you to work on.
  D) All of the above
