Answer to Question 1

The student should indicate that the feminist perspective views that gender inequality stems from patriarchy. Women fill subordinate roles in the family and society at large. (Student should cite examples.) Three goals of the feminist perspective are equal rights, expanded definitions of family, and elimination of violence against women.
