Answer to Question 1

Answer: The ideal answer should include:
1. Wright emphasized that a building should have an organic and natural sense, which he expressed in his Prairie Houses.
2. The Robie House is an example. The horizontal sweep of the roof and the open interior space reflect the flat expanses of the Midwest landscape.
3. Each of Wright's residential houses was specific to its site.
4. For example, Fallingwater used concrete cantilevers to mirror the natural cliffs over the hillside.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Wrought iron is soft and flexible, and, when heated, it can be easily twisted into a variety of forms. To create cast iron, carbon is added to the iron, forming a more rigid and stronger material.
