Answer to Question 1

The exact purpose statement is a part of topic generation process, and so it comes earlier in the speech building process than the thesis, which gets defined during the organizing phase of a speech. The exact purpose statement is a single declarative sentence that clarifies your topic and usually begins with a statement such as After hearing my presentation, the audience will... A thesis statement is more defined, as it occurs during the organization stage of the research and has two parts: a general statement of purpose and preview of the main points to be covered.

Answer to Question 2

The three phases are the opening phase, the question response phase and the closing phase. The opening phase should establish rapport, verify basic information, and motivate the applicant. The question-response phase is meant to organize questions by general areas, usually using the funnel sequence. Keep an accurate record and evaluation form of each interviewee to comply with EEOC regulations and remember important data. The closing phase so that the interviewee leaves with a positive feeling, let the candidate know what will happen next, summarize the interview content, outline the times and nature of future contacts, give the interviewer a chance to ask questions, and thank the interviewee for time and cooperation.
