Answer to Question 1

C
The statement Our speaker for the evening has written two highly-acclaimed books in the
field of Human sciences is the most appropriate way to start the introduction of the speaker.
During the introduction refer only to our speaker. When introducing a speaker, avoid trite
expressions.

Answer to Question 2

A
Extending the time allotted for the presentation by 15 minutes is an ineffective practice when
delivering a presentation. The audience expects a speaker to end on time. The smart speaker,
when assigned 45 minutes, plans on 35 to 40 minutes. If there are 5 to 10 minutes left, the
time may be used to answer questions.
