either today or will arrive on Monday. A misplaced conjunction can change the meaning of a
sentence.

Answer to Question 2

D
The sentence that uses conjunctions correctly is Jennifer acted as if her life was going to
change. One of the pitfalls of using conjunctions is choosing a preposition when a conjunction
is needed. In this case, as if is correct and like would have been wrong.
