Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Cohabitation before marriage correlates with higher relationship dissatisfaction and higher risk of divorce in the event of marriage (among many others, Bramlett & Mosher, 2002; Brown & Booth, 1996; DeMaris & Vaninadha Rao, 1992; Nock, 1995; Popenoe & Whitehead, 2000 ).
Cohabitation before marriage also carries with it an increased risk of violence against women and children (Fagan & Hanks, 1997; Margolin, 1992; Whelan, 1993 ). In cohabiting relationships, there is more verbal aggression, anger, and attempts to control the partner's feelings than exists in married relationships (Cohan & Kleinbaum 2002 ).
Popenoe and Whitehead (2000 ) contend that the 10 percent increase in child abuse over the past decade is directly related to the change in family forms, most notably, the increase in cohabitation. In general, the evidence suggests that the most unsafe of all family environments for children is that in which the biological mother is living with her boyfriend. Indeed, cohabiting women report twice the rate of abuse than do married women (Bumpass & Lu, 2000 ).

There used to be a metric calendar, as well as metric clocks. The metric calendar, or "French Republican Calendar" divided the year into 12 months, but each month was divided into three 10-day weeks.
