An employment agency is seeking a newspaper advertising salesperson. The monthly pay is 2,500 salary plus a 2.5 commission on sales up to 60,00 . and 5 on sales over 60,00 . . The advertisement also states that normal sales should usually be at least 75,00 . . What would be the total pay for a person who sold the expected minimum?

75,00 . - 60,00 . = 15,000 . 60,00 .  0.025 = 1,500;
15,00 .  0.05 = 750; 1,500 + 750 + 2,500 = 4,750
