A landscaping firm brought three trucks loaded with topsoil to a job site. Two trucks carried 7.75 cubic yards each, and one truck carried 5.25 cubic yards. When the job was finished, 3.5 cubic yards remained. Find the number of cubic yards used.

7.75 + 7.75 + 5.25 = 20.75 cubic yards; 20.75 - 3.50 = 17.25 cubic yards
