Answer to Question 1

a. LCL = 2.38 and UCL = 2.52 (Newton's per square meter).
b. I estimate the mean tensile strength for all roof hangars to be between 2.38 and 2.52 Newton's per square meter, based on my sample. We know that 95 of the time the true population mean would fall in the resulting interval.

Answer to Question 2

F

The main cause of diverticular disease is a low-fiber diet.
