Like the other perspectives, the triangular theory of love has limitations. Perfectly matched does not exist in the real world. Additionally, love varies depending on one's marital status. Intimacy and passion may be much stronger in casual dating, for example, than in marriage. Commitment, on the other hand, is much higher among married couples than among dating or engaged couples.
