A glass company produces panes of glass that have specifications for a thickness of 0.3 inches. The process standard deviation is known to be 0.04 inches. 0.312 inches, 0.332 inches. Since this interval does not include the 0.30 inches in the specifications, the process is not performing satisfactorily.
