Data are raw numerical facts and figures, and information comes from analyzing and organizing data to support evaluation and decision making.

Answer to Question 2

The exercise indicates that the purpose of the revised inspection system is to increase customer satisfaction. We want to use the sample to see if that purpose has been achieved. Therefore, we would use a one-sided alternative hypothesis; namely, H1 : P > 0.41
