H0 : P = 0.50 (No preference),
H1 : P < 0.50 (less than 50 would not adopt to the compensation package)
P(X  5  P = 0.5, n = 17 ) = 0.0472 + 0.0182 + 0.0052 + 0.0010 + 0.0001 = 0.0717
Evidence of preference (p-value = 0.0717 ).
Hence, at 10 significance level, we reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the less than 50 would not adopt to the compensation package.
