Answer to Question 1

P(36 < X < 60 ) = P(-1.54 < Z < 1.54 ) = 0.4382 + 0.4382 = 0.8764

Answer to Question 2

Since zero is within the limits of the confidence interval, it is possible that the means are the same. Therefore one cannot conclude there is a difference in average functioning time between the two models of battery packs before recharging.
