  B) decreasing the absolute value of b1
  C) increasing the variance of X
  D) decreasing sample size

Question 2

What is the probability that more than three of them will retire this year? Use the Poisson approximation to the binomial.

X = Number of workers who will retire this year.
P(X > 3 ) = 1 - P(X  3 ) = 1 - (0.0334 + 0.1135 + 0.1929 + 0.2186 ) = 0.4416
