Answer to Question 1

T

Answer to Question 2

Yes. The definition of a handicapped person set forth in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act extends as well to persons considered as having one.. And Section 3(2) of the ADA protects per-sons who are regarded and treated as though they have a disability, even though they do not have such an impairment. Thus persons who have fully recovered from cancer or mental disorders may be victims of job discrimination and are protected under the acts. For example, a person with a facial disfigurement that causes no disability may be considered by others as impaired and is thus protected under the acts.

This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
