Consumer picketing may be carried on to the extent that the specific and correct facts are being presented with clear indication that consumers and the public, rather than employees of secondary employers, are being appealed to for aiding boycotting the primary employer's product. Under Safeco, however, product picketing that can cause substantial loss to secondary employers is contrary to the NLRA.
